A Cabernet Kiss, To Explain The Night
Perspicuous through her own glass, she finished, while glancing at his, as the rich red cabernet fell into his lips. The very lips she knew she would kiss before the nights end. If, that is, she could find them beneath his bushy black mustache. As his head was inclined back, in response to his search for sedative pleasure, she sparingly asked "So tell me, when you look off you balcony at night, into the bright florescent lights, which capture every street corner, every smile, and every woe, what do you see?" Finishing his wine, he took occasion in placing the glass onto the table. He revealed a smile, which was made apparent, beneath his mustache. Leaning forward, as if he were to tell her something of a secret, he focused his eyes onto hers, and said "I see what you see, my dear. The tools of conditioning that has built everyone's perception is also rooted beneath my vision as well." Lifting his brow "But it is that of an intellectual, that looks not only with their vision, but their mind as well. Revealing a greater landscape then before." He then paused for a moment, noticing her look "What I see, is not what you see, if that is, you cannot see past what your peripherals show you."
As he was looking into her glowing green eyes, which hid generously behind her lashes, he noticed a small change in her temperament. He undoubtedly knew, before he said it, and now, that she was not going to be satisfied with the response he gave. Leaning in towards him, she stated with absolute monotone "The definition of intelligence can be measured by many things, but that is an avenue of irrelevance right now, for you have not answered my question." The man cracked a smiled, and said, "I admire you. If I told you what you wanted to hear, I would be no different than the man who flatters the vulnerable, the man who fears to take risk for reward, and the man who does not question what it is he is told, even, and especially from the highest of powers." He reclined once again, back into his chair, lifting the front wooden legs off of the Persian rug which kept his prestige in tact. "If I were to look off of my balcony at night, into the bright florescent lights, which capture every street corner, every smile, and every woe, that is exactly what I would see." Adjusting his collar he went on "A garden of conditioned apparitions, lurking under the street lights. A legal permit of existence. A passel of slaves. That my dear, is what I see."
There was a moment of resonating silence, the man searched into her eyes for a response, placing the chair legs back onto the rug. He noticed her lean forward intimately, he then timely reciprocated . As it were, before the nights end, her lips met his, and sparked a connection of satisfaction. As he knew it would.

Who are we?
Throughout human history, we have been held captive by those of greater influence. We all inherit a culture of history that was here before us. Actions our ancestors performed before our time here. The great challenge for all of us, is to find ourselves, and live sustainably without the threat of losing it all. But how much is necessary to lose, for future gain? Should we give up our freedom for something that will watch over us. Who's to say whatever it is that watches over us has the same ambitions, and incentives as us. Also what does us mean? Do I not have different aspirations than my neighbor? Many who are born, are cared for by their parents. The combination of two adults working together to give not only a life for their child, but opportunity as well. Passing on good values, which can be measured by self maintained practice and prosperous longevity. But as of now the statistics for two parent houses are declining. The family is now at threat of something greater than we know.
There is a problem, with our current world. Self maintained practice does not work hand and hand with collectivism, more importantly it does not work with government. The problem lies in individuality and the enormous contrast it has with cultured minds. The impossibility of "representation" through democratic outreach which rely on majorities, and excludes minorities. Democratic leadership seems to fail it's population based on it's need to please only the masses, but brags of exceptional progress in comparison to that of other forms of government. But just as other governments maintain themselves, there is very little difference in their dependence. Such as Conscription, Taxation, and mass propaganda. They create hostilities with those of other regions, absorb us in tremendous debt to which the unborn will be responsible for. The sad reality is that many people within their own areas have the mentality that they are right and the people in the next country are wrong, different, or unorthodox in some form or another.
There is still hope for us, as a species. We need to first identify the chains which hold us, before we can break free from the prison we once before held as a normality. Once we understand that what we are in, really is a matrix scenario. Embrace yourself as an individual and not just an "American" or "Canadian". Are those terms tangible? Look at what it is that takes from your individuality, what it is you want to do in life, and the obstacles ahead, and where those obstacles come from. Because you are born geographically somewhere doesn't mean you are something special. Just as Harriet Tubman is quoted as saying, "I freed a thousand slaves, I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves." A good personal assignment for those who have read thus far should be to question the morality behind all actions performed by your government. You may find the answer, Cold, but uncomfortably different then that of what you were told.
